About Tango Nirvana

Tango Nirvana consists of a team of 4 individuals who work together to bring you some of the best Tango events in the Reading area.

Tango Nirvana have run the successful Canoe Club Milonga in Caversham, Reading since 2006 when Bob and Maggie who originally founded the Milonga, moved to the Isle of man.

The two main teachers at Tango Nirvana, Tom and Tracey have been dancing Tango for about 11 years. They teach the authentic style of Tango based on lead and follow, which means that you should be able to dance with anyone not just your partner! Tango is much more than the fabulous stage dancing you see on the touring shows. It's about making a connection with another person during a dance. It's about musicality. Tango is a conversation. This is the belief that Tango Nirvana carries with their teaching and which they try to convey to their students.
